MY APPROACH
My goal is to create a space that is warm, collaborative, and judgment-free. I hope that by providing a sense of safety in our work together, you’ll be able to explore your experiences with curiosity, honesty, and care. I’m genuinely interested in getting to know you — what matters to you, how you make sense of things, and what has shaped your story.
Many of the clients I work with find themselves overthinking, trying to predict the future or make the “right” decision, yet still feeling unsure. Others notice a sense of disconnection from themselves — like they’ve lost touch with what they feel, want, or need. In our work together, we slow things down and begin to understand what’s underneath these patterns, creating space for greater clarity, self-awareness, and self-trust.
My approach is integrative, drawing from attachment and parts work, AEDP, CBT, and other modalities. I often support clients in tracing present-day patterns back to earlier experiences or relationships, exploring how the past continues to shape thoughts, behaviours, and emotional responses. I also offer psychoeducation when it feels helpful, sharing insights that can support you in better understanding your mind and body.
At its core, I believe therapy is a place to feel safe, supported, and genuinely seen. From this foundation, it becomes easier to care for ourselves, relate to ourselves with more compassion, and make meaningful changes — while also understanding the parts of us that may struggle with change. I aim to offer a space that is both deeply supportive and gently challenging, helping you reconnect with yourself and move forward in a way that feels more authentic and aligned.
TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE
I hold a Master’s Degree in Counselling Psychology and am a Registered Clinical Counsellor (#20418) with the BC Association of Clinical Counsellors. I primarily work with teens (13+) and adults who are navigating concerns such as anxiety, overthinking, self-esteem, trauma, grief, life transitions, and relationship challenges — particularly for those wanting to better understand themselves and feel more connected in their lives.
Before becoming a counsellor, I spent six years working with youth and their families as a Youth Care Worker, which continues to inform my approach when supporting teens and young adults. I am also approved to work with clients who receive coverage through the First Nations Health Authority (FNHA) and the Crime Victim Assistance Program (CVAP).
My approach is person-centered and trauma-informed, with additional training in:
Accelerated Experiential Dynamic Psychotherapy (AEDP)
Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT)
Existential Psychotherapy
Gottman Method Couples Therapy (Level 1)
Internal Family Systems (IFS)
San’yas Indigenous Cultural Safety Training
Trauma-Informed Practice (Level 1)
I regularly engage in ongoing learning and professional development, as I believe that staying curious and continually evolving is essential to offering thoughtful, effective, and compassionate care.
